Have you finally met the one? You know, the one shampoo that’s going to rid you of all the hair loss cries that you’ve been having for years? So, what makes this shampoo special? What is it made of? Here is some of Bosley Bos Revive Nourishing Shampoo for Visibly Thinning Non-Color-Treated Hair’s primary ingredients:

  1. Saw palmetto

Native Americans have been using the saw palmetto plant for centuries as food and medicine. On top of that, it is also a proven cure for hair loss.

Hair loss happens when the testosterone is converted into DHT. Most people believe that only men have testosterone, but the truth is that women have it too. It’s only that men have more of it than women. So, the conversion of testosterone to DHT causes hair loss. What does Saw palmetto have anything to do with hair loss then?

The plant of a saw palmetto has leaves with berries. Those berries turn brown or black one they are ripened. Those berries have the ability to block 5-alpha-reductase, which is an enzyme converting testosterone into DHT. As you know, DHT is what causes hair loss. With DHT being out of the way, then hair loss will be reduced.

  1. Pentapeptides

Apart from DHT production, there is still something else that causes hair loss, and that is a deficiency in collagen. That is what pentapeptides aim to correct. This is a chemical that’s very effective in keeping the hair and scalp healthy because it increases collagen.

Short Summary of Feedback from Existing Owners

There were some people saying that this product worked for them, but as far as everything goes, people say that the results are pretty average. They didn’t see noticeable and optimal results from the product. That doesn’t mean to say that the product is no good. It just means that the result given was not as strong.

There were also several users that, after a month or so of using the product, didn’t see any result at all.

Some people didn’t say too much about the minimal result that the product was giving out, but that didn’t stop the minority from complaining about the price of the product. They thought that the price was a little too high for its quality.

Pros of the Product

  • It’s more affordable than other hair loss shampoos

If you’re experiencing hair loss, but you’re a little tight on the budget, you can always give this one a try.

Even though there weren’t many people who were too happy about their results, at least you can give it a try. At the very least, you didn’t rely on other people’s experiences to make a decision. You made a choice of your own. After all, chemicals don’t always work for all hair types. Who knows? The product might suit your hair condition after all.

  • It makes your hair fuller if you use the shampoo together with the hair treatment

Bosley has loads of products up its sleeve. There were several users who thought that it didn’t work for some. However, there were also people who thought that the product did them well, but they needed the help from another one of Bosley’s hair treatment product to experience maximum results.

Cons of the Product

  • It doesn’t work that well

Some users claim that the product was a little effective, but ‘little effective’ isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, especially since it is hair loss is the topic here. With this condition, you want to spend your money on something that’s worth it. ‘Little effective’ isn’t what most people would consider as worth money.

  • You shouldn’t have to use a hair treatment just so the shampoo will work

The shampoo was a charm for people who used it together with another hair treatment also being offered by the same company. As exciting as that may sound, you shouldn’t have to buy another product just so the other product could work.

The purpose of this shampoo was to reduce hair fall. With that, this product should deliver that result. It doesn’t make you have to buy a hair treatment for it to work, especially since there are many hair loss shampoos out there that can give you better results without the need for another hair treatment.

  • It dries out the hair

According to Bosley’s official website, this shampoo was supposed to give the hair the hydration required to make it healthier. Many users said the exact opposite thing happened. Instead of hydrating their hair, it became dry instead.

Who Should Buy This Product?

Are you having hair loss problems? Are you tight on budget? If your answer to those questions is yes, then there is no doubt that you should buy this product.

This product hasn’t been known for efficacy. However, one can never be too sure since a product can either be effective or ineffective to multiple persons.

Conclusion and Recommendation

This probably isn’t the best hair loss shampoo in the market, but it is more affordable than most. If you’re someone who feels like experimenting on his hair to see if there will be results then there is no harm in doing so.

However, if you are quite serious about ridding yourself of hair loss, then you are better off looking for another product.

  1. I have very oily hair so I am not really worried about using this product. I have read that Bosley products are quite good. Never used any myself but when I think of hair restoration, Bosley is something that comes to mind.

  2. The price on Amazon can be a little steep but you get what you pay for as this product my uncle uses. He swears by it so maybe I should think about getting one as your review sounds so appealing about this product. How long would some say this lasts as my uncle said his lastest him a year or he may have been pulling my leg.
He wasn’t sure if it was down to stress or not but his hair did start to come out before he used this and when he started using this he stated to me that it stopped falling out so maybe this is a great product to try.
